Congratulations also to Jillian Clarke, who won an award in the Local History & Folklore Essay Competition.

On the 10th May ’17, the Communion class will go on Retreat to Knock, in preparation for their First Holy Communion on Saturday 20th May ’17. Pupils should bring a packed lunch and a drink.

An R.S.E. talk will be given to the fifth and sixth class pupils on 16th May and their Parents/Guardians will attend on the 23rd May ’17.

As the weather is so nice, we have decided to hold Sports Day tomorrow, Tuesday 9th May. Please bring in a sack, an old tie/scarf and a spud and spoon. Don’t forget the sun screen, a hat and extra drinks.

If any of the pupils of sixth class would like to donate their sixth class books to the school at the end of term, we would be delighted to have them.

On the 19th May ’17 we will be hosting a Super hero Day in aid of the LauraLynn Foundation, who provides respite for seriously ill children. Pupils should dress up as their favourite outfit, and donate €2 to the cause.

For the duration of the good weather, pupils are permitted to wear their shorts and T-shirts to school
